Rev. Dr. Thompson is the Senior Pastor of the Triumphant Church, a global, interdenominational congregation headquartered in Springfield, Virginia. His emphasis is the inspired teaching of the word of God to assist believers in understanding and applying the power of salvation through Jesus Christ.
LeRoy was educated at Harvard University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in English and American Literature and Language, and a Master’s degree in Finance and International Business from Columbia University School of Business. He received his Doctor of Divinity degree in 2006 and will receive a PhD in Bible Studies from Trinity Seminary in 2010. His first book, Mastering the Challenges of Change, received a Newberry Book Club award in 1995. LeRoy and his wife, Rev. Rita Thompson, have two children, Lee, and Aisha Renee.
